Least Bittern. Very small bird. Likes to work along the edge of the weeds spearing minnows. These have just started showing up and are very skiddish.
No sure of this bird. Had to hide in the weeds to get this shot. The orange legs and solid color on the back. Not in my books. 
Green Heron hiding in the weeds. It stood very still thinking I did not see it. When it did finally move it made very slow movements.

After completing high school I went to sea. Worked my way up to Captain. I have worked and photographed many places throughout the world. I took an interest in photography 1984, while working in California. Over the next 6 years I took 2 correspondence courses and 2 college classes to better my skills. Digital has helped me improve my techniques as well as open up new horizons. I am looking at new areas I never before had an interest. I shoot nature, landscapes, macro, and wildlife. I hope to soon explore people photography. God has always been a part of my life since I was a child. He has carried me through many hard times and has always brought me home again. In Him is all my trust.
